03、However, if all the traditions set by predecessors are removed, what remains would be a disorderly society, where non-compliance becomes the only rule. As a matter of fact, the freedom of behaving as individuals, in many cases, is not contradictory to following the tradition, i.e positive ones. Simply put, it is hard to imagine one person deliberately disrespecting others, just to flaunt individuality, and why diligence or patriotism, traditional virtues like these, cannot be used as individual labels? At the same time,preaching individuality may signify selfishness and irresponsibility. Encouraging the young to violate tradition, the propagation is a discontinuation of one's social identity, but to members of society, as inter-dependent individuals, it is an obligation to perpetuate this social identity in the community.

Advertising has been an integral part of our economic and social life now. However, as a powerful technique of promoting sales, it has been censured by some people for its “main aim”: to encourage shoppers to buy unnecessary goods. I tend to think that this view presents a very one-sided picture of advertising.

The commentary is understandable that advertising creates unconscious desires. Enticed by these messages, consumers would buy goods of little or no value to themselves on impulse, be it a new cell phone or a massage armchair.
