Some people say that too much money and time are spent on protecting wild animals. Wild animals have no place in the 21st century, so protecting them is a waste of resources. So, such resources should be better spent on human population. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

01
Protecting wildlife has never been so essential in the history of humanity when there are fewer places left that wild animals can call home. Though it is not without any reason that some people think protecting wild animals is a waste of resources, I certainly agree that every penny spent on it is worthwhile.
(1) in the history of humanity
(2)...it is not without any reason that...
(3)...every penny spent on it is worthwhile
02
There are financial reasons why we need not to bother to save all endangered animal species. It would cost billions of dollars a year to preserve threatened wild animals. This is unthinkable for many, since millions of people are still suffering from food shortage and even more deprived of the opportunity to receive education because of poverty. It is still harder to understand why anyone would want to preserve such dangerous animals as tigers and wolves, which pose a threat both to people and livestock. Surely, it will be sad if there are not any more cute pandas on the planet, but it is not like that we depend on them. After all, what is the point of protectingthreatened wild animals from dying out when human beings have their own problems to worry about?
(1)endangered (/ threatened) animal species
(2)food shortage
(3)pose a threat to...
(4)what is the point of (doing sth./ sth.)...
03
However, protecting wild animals is important for the present as well as future generations. The Mother Nature requires that different species stay connected so that the extinction of one particular species might influence one or more other species along the line. If we as human beings stand at the top of the pyramid of ecosystem, our survival is totally dependent on the existence of other "lower" animals. Therefore, protecting wild animals can be a preventive step for humans to remain safe. This has become particularly urgent in the 21st century because much of the wild animal habitat has been destroyed by us human beings.
(1)future generations
(2)pyramid of ecosystem
(3)be dependent on...
04
In conclusion, far from having no connection to our survival, wild animals are the very precondition for our existence on this planet. We certainly need to take care of our own problems, yet if all wild animals perish, we human beings will perish as well.
(1)far from... 远非......
(2)...as well 也;同样

Some people say that the main aim of advertising is to improve the sales of products that people do not really need.
To what extent do you agree or disagree?
Introduction
Advertising has been an integral part of our economic and social life now. However, as a powerful technique of promoting sales, it has been censured by some people for its “main aim”: to encourage shoppers to buy unnecessary goods. I tend to think that this view presents a very one-sided picture of advertising.
Body Paragraph 1
The commentary is understandable that advertising creates unconscious desires. People holding this view may ascribe their over-consumption to advertisers’ exaggerated claims of their marketing pitches, which means advertising puts goods in a positive light, creating unrealistic expectations, all for the benefit of selling. Enticed by these messages, consumers would buy goods of little or no value to themselves on impulse, be it a new cell phone or a massage armchair.
ascribe … to …
Body Paragraph 2
To persuade potential customers through evoking their psychological appeals, indeed, is one objective of advertising. However, I would argue that there is a controversy in what constitutes necessities versus non-essentials. This ambiguous notion is changing, along with the change in generations. To explain, what seems nonessential now – a massage armchair, for example – may fulfill its function years later, whereas what seems required now – a cell phone, for example – may soon lose its value if operating systems suddenly upgrade.
evoke 唤醒 v.
psychological appeals
controversy 争议 n.
Body Paragraph 3
My firm conviction is that the real objective of advertising is to promote effective communication between producers and consumers. When a new product is to be introduced in the market, producers create memorable advertising campaigns that boost brans recognition, from which potential customers can be informed more about product advantages and know what suits their requirements and budget. Not only that, advertising helps maintain the demand for existing products and services.
introduce 引入v.
Conclusion
In conclusion, I would say that the main aim of advertising is to prepare a ground for the sales of products, but we cannot affirm that the promoted goods are unnecessary.
prepare a ground for 为…打基础
affirm 断言v.
