　　Most school students nowadays are required to learn History as part of their studies, yet there still has been a debate over the content of this subject. Personally, I consider it short-sighted that greater significance should be attached to local history rather than world history.

Naturally, the influences of their own cultures will beundermined. To avoid local cultures from withering away, history about their motherland ought to be emphasised on schoolsyllabuses, as history is closely bound up with the cultural legacies which allow students to build cultural confidence of their own nation.
