口语会话-饮食篇第二章
Tips: 英语中表示颜色的词，常常有很多特殊的用法some special uses，而且要注意这些词汇的动词用法pay attention to the verbs.
Black 黑色
1.Black sheep 害群之马
He is the black sheep of his family.
他是个败家子。
英语中的害群之马其实是一只羊，但是我们可以用dark horse黑马来形容比赛中出人意料的参赛者。
2.Black out 失去知觉
My legs gave way and I blacked out.
我两腿一软昏了过去。
Black out相当于pass out昏厥
3.Blackout 停电
I hate suffering from a blackout when I have lots of work to do.
我恨透欧了工作量大的时候还停电。
Blackout相当于power failure断电
4.A black mark 污点
The incident left a black mark in his life.
这件事在他的生命中留下了不好的印记。
5.Black money 黑钱
The government says when it comes to black money，it is not a open-and-shut case.
政府认为谈及到黑钱的时候，事情便不在简单了。
Green 绿色
1.Give somebody the green light 批准
My boss gave me the green light to implement the new plan.
老板批准我开始落实新计划。
2.Be green with envy 嫉妒
She was green with envy when she saw her ex-boyfriend with another girl.
她看到前男友和别的女孩在一起嫉妒得要命。
3.the green-eyed monster 爱嫉妒的人
He looks gentle and humble but the green-eyed monster.
他看上去既绅士有谦逊，但却是个爱妒忌的人。
4.Green hand
I am not a green hand anymore. Do not bully me！
我不再是新手，别欺负我！
Green hand有点类似于fresh fish菜鸟
Blue 蓝色
1.Out of the blue 突如其来
I have not heared a word from him for 10 years，and one day he just showed up out of the blue.
他一连十年音信全无，突然之间就出现了。
2.Once in a blue moon 非常罕见
The liar told the truth instead of tell a lie once in a blue moon.

White 白色
1.White lie 善意的谎言
A white lie is a kind lie and may be far more innocuous.
这样的谎言可能出于善意并且无伤大雅。
2.As white as a sheet 面色苍白
She was as white as a sheet when she heard the news.

Red 红色

2.Be caught red-handed 被抓个现行
He was caught red-handed while cheating on the exam.
